The All-Russian Conference ITSH-LETI School League Has Ended

On March 25 in the framework of the St. Petersburg International Educational Forum the All-Russian Scientific and Practical conference "ITSH-LETI School League" was completed. The founders of the event were: St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" named after V.I. Ulyanov, the International Public Association Academy of Navigation and Motion Control, Consortium for the Development of School Engineering and Technology Education in the Russian Federation – Engineering and Technology School No. 777 of St. Petersburg.

The objective of the conference is to involve students to research, experimental and engineering activities, to expand and intensify scientific and practical creativity, theoretical knowledge, and the necessary pre-professional skills of schoolchildren.

From March 1 to March 15, 2021 a group of experts, which included school teachers, LETI teachers and specialists of high-tech enterprises, evaluated the contest works for compliance with the declared topic.

During the second stage, which was held from March 16 to 18 at the Engineering and Technology School No. 777, more than 100 students of grades 8-11 presented reports at eight sections: "Physical Sciences", "Mathematical Sciences", "Information Sciences and Technologies", "Computer and Information Sciences", "Artificial Intelligence and Robotics", "Industrial Robotics", "Biological Sciences", "Chemical Sciences".

Having become a winner and received the right to conclude a target contract, which is confirmed by the certificate, a student who has not yet passed the Unified State Exam will be able to focus on choosing the future training pathway.

According to Alexander Mikhailovich Boronakhin, Chairman of the organizing committee of the conference "ITSH-LETI School League", Dean of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI", many high-tech enterprises have outlined their requests for target contracts conclusion with the winners of the conference.

"Students of LETI partner schools are a special resource of Russia. Highly qualified engineering and technical personnel in a few years should provide an innovative breakthrough in the development of the region and the country as a whole. New tasks require innovative solutions, so we actively involve employers in joint work to train engineers of the future,” says Viktor Nikolayevich Sheludko, Rector of Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI".

The International Public Association Academy of Navigation and Motion Control (ANUD) is a voluntary association of scientists. The Academy objective is to facilitate enhancement, promotion, and socially useful application of scientific knowledge in the field of theory and systems of navigation and motion control. At present the Academy includes 405 members working for various companies, universities and organizations. 352 Russian members of the Academy work in 26 cities.
