Innovations and practices of engineering and technology education for schoolchildren were presented at the conference

On March 23, within the framework of the XI St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, a scientific and practical conference "Designing the Future. Engineering and Technology Education" was held on the basis of the Engineering and Technological School No. 777.

During the first section "Pedagogical navigator: methodological support in engineering education" – teachers of the school No. 777 presented innovative experience of modern information technologies application in the educational process, including the experience of implementing augmented reality technology in regular and extracurricular activities, creating a virtual tour, using infographics in solving National Technology Initiative (NTI) tasks, using interactive templates in learning English, using the internet resource www.onlinetestpad.com for assessing the learning outcomes.

During the second section "Project office: 4K competencies" teachers of the school shared the relevant methods of work on the formation of key competencies among schoolchildren. There were presented: the project "Engineering Book", the network project on literature "Sharp Satire", supplementary general educational programme on prototyping" 3D-insight", as well as the integration of basic and supplementary education programmes on glass fusing, pottery, laser technologies when creating children's projects.

During the third section "End-to-end educational outcomes: soft skills", the school's teachers presented the experience of soft skills developing among schoolchildren in the context of the educational project "Immersion into the XIX century". The participants of the conference learned about the peculiarities of organizing a large-scale educational event, about the system of lessons and training tasks that contribute to the soft skills formation among schoolchildren, and got acquainted with assessing the level of flexible skills formation of among schoolchildren.
