Digital and Humanities Education: Modern Approaches to Teaching Academic Subjects of the Humanitarian Cycle

The conference is organized by the scientists of the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, educational organizations of St. Petersburg and their partners:

  • The network of educational institutions: School No. 5, School No. 235 of the Admiralteysky district;
  • The network of educational institutions: School No. 540, School No. 582, School No. 631 of the Primorsky district, School No. 500 of the Pushkinsky district.
School No. 471 of the Vyborgsky district During the conference, the best practices of implementing approaches for teaching humanitarian subjects on the basis of network interaction are considered as well as various approaches to the implementation of advanced technology for teaching humanitarian subjects will be presented.

The conference participants will focus on a digital framework of interaction between network partners created to update teaching approaches in liberal arts education as well as modern approaches of working with students with reading deficiencies using the example of teaching English. The participants of the event will gain familiarity with the capacity of the digital platform «HumanitariUm», which aggregates best practices in teaching humanitarian subjects.

For persons wishing to, guided tours to the unique museum «The Muses haven't been silent» and around one of the oldest districts of St. Petersburg will be organized.
