Pedagogical culture and its past, present and future were discussed at the conference

On March 23, within the framework of the XI St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, the VIII City Pedagogical Conference "Constellation of the Young" was held on the basis of the school No. 222 "Petrisсhule". The theme of the 2021 conference is "Codes of Pedagogical Culture: Past, Present and Future".

The City Pedagogical Conference of Young Specialists has been held annually since 2013 (since 2017 - as part of the business programme of the St. Petersburg International Educational Forum).

The conference is organized by the Russian State Pedagogical University after A. I. Herzen; Department of Pedagogy and Andragogy, St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education and Information and methodological centre of the Tsentralny district of St. Petersburg, teachers of the school No. 222 "Petrischule".

The conference was attended by young heads, teachers and specialists of educational institutions of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.

Olga Sergeevna Knyazkova, Deputy Director of the Information and methodological centre of the Tsentralny district of St. Petersburg, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech at the plenary session.

Anton Yuryevich Morozov, the director of the school No. 222 "Petrischule" shared with the participants the history of the oldest school in St. Petersburg.

PhD, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Andragogy, St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Professor Aleksandr Nikolaevich Shevelev presented to the audience the statement "St. Petersburg Teaching: Traditions and Innovations".

Also, at the plenary part of the conference, video materials presented by the participants of the conference were shown.

After the plenary session, teachers took part in round tables, where they presented video materials in three areas: "Pedagogical culture in the mirror of history", "The role of pedagogical culture in the modern school education", "The role of pedagogical culture in the transformation of digital education".

The outcomes of the conference were summed up by the associate professor of the Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy of the Russian State Pedagogical University after A. I. Herzen, PhD in Pedagogy, Sergey Vladimirovich Khristoforov.

The participants showed a keen interest in the stated theme, actively participated in the discussions at the round tables, and noted the relevance and innovation of the chosen format.
