Best practices of the "Young Professionals" project were presented

On March 24, within the framework of the XI St. Petersburg International Educational Forum, the All-Russian scientific and practical conference The Best Educational Practices of the Implementation of the Project "Young Professionals" was held online.

The conference was organized by the Department of Professional Education of the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education.

The event was attended by about 450 heads of regional education authorities, heads and teachers of vocational education institutions from 24 regions of Russia.

The conference participants discussed the main directions of development of vocational education in Russia, exchanged practical experience in implementing various aspects of the project "Young Professionals".

The conference programme included a plenary session and three sections. Leading Russian experts in the field of theory and practice of vocational education, as well as guests from Austria addressed the plenary session.

Representatives of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration discussed the transformation of regional systems of vocational education in the context of socio-economic development and the implementation of effective models of blended learning in vocational education. The theme was discussed by: Vladimir Blinov, PhD in Pedagogy, head of the Research Centre for Vocational Education and Qualification Systems; Igor Sergeev, PhD in Pedagogy, leading research associate; Ekaterina Yesenina, PhD in Pedagogy, leading research associate of the Centre for Vocational Education and Qualification Systems.

Evgenia Ivanova, the leading specialist of the Basic Training Centre of the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications, addressed in detail the full cycle of the national qualification system tools in staff training.

Evgeny Modonov, Deputy Director of the Department for Assessment of Competencies and Qualifications of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Agency of Development of Professional Communities and Skilled Workers (Worldskills Russia), spoke about the demonstration exam as a universal model for assessing the quality of professional education.

The coordinators of the Russian-Austrian project "Development of Entrepreneurial Competencies in educational institutions of St. Petersburg and Vienna (Austria)" – Susanne Spangl (Tourism College of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce), Petra Bugelnig (IBC – International Business College of the Federal Academy of Commerce) and Christoph Linke (Spengergasse Higher Technical School) presented their vision for the development of soft skills and training.

Within the work of the sections, topical issues of the professional education content and the conditions that ensure the effectiveness of the educational process in the vocational educational institution were considered; as well as the experience in the implementation of distance learning and educational programmes in the vocational educational institution.
